John G. Borden Middle School children to lead parents in coding exercise Dec. 13

WALLKILL, N.Y. >> Parents of students at John G. Borden Middle School in the Wallkill Central School District are invited to try their hand at computer coding on Wednesday, Dec. 13, with their children as their teachers.

The school’s “Night of Coding” will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the middle school’s computer room.

Students, who have been taking part in coding activities at school, will serve as the teachers for the evening, leading their parents through a basic coding exercise.

The event is held annually in conjunction with National Coding Week, which aims to get students excited about computer coding and programming activities.

The Night of Coding is free and open to all parents of children at John G. Borden Middle School.

Free pizza will be provided to all those who attend.
