Bishkek, May 19, 2018 / Kabar /. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov met with ethnic Kyrgyz who moved to Batken oblast from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan several years ago.

During the meeting, ethnic Kyrgyz told the Speaker that many of the ethnic Kyrgyz migrated to their historical homeland more than a decade ago, but up to now, the relevant state bodies do not know how many immigrants have arrived since the independence of Kyrgyzstan. The official registration of ethnic Kyrgyz will allow the migrants to get the status of kairylman (immigrant) in a timely manner, take advantage of the right to education, medical assistance and land allotments.

Ethnic settlers stated that they themselves had made such an account, but they cannot publish the received data or pass it to official services because of a lack of funds.

Also, they told about a number of land disputes that arose among them. They also informed the Speaker that they would like to participate in the coming World Nomad Games, to show the preserved traditions and customs, the decoration of their yurts, but do not know with whom to negotiate.

Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, having listened to the guests, said that he would study the situation and help them.
