Police on Friday discovered an apartment which turned out to be an abandoned shabu laboratory in Novaliches, Quezon City.
It was discovered after owners of the apartment sought help from authorities about their tenants who failed to pay monthly rent.
Quezon City Police District director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel Jr. said that the suspected shabu laboratory houses several illegal drug equipment and chemicals.
The apartment at Kingspoint Subdivision, Barangay Bagbag was rented in October 2015 by a Chinese identified only as King Lee, and his female companion.
The owner, Eliezer Villahermosa Jr., said that the tenants paid through the bank. However, the tenants failed to pay for the past seven months despite several notices and demands, prompting the owners to seek help from the QCPD Station 4 (Novaliches) under Supt. Carlito Grijaldo.
