Researchers have found junk food in supermarkets is discounted in price, at double the rate of healthy foods.
The study, an Australian first, found that low-nutrient food like chips and chocolate also received bigger discounts, on average, than healthier foods like fruit and veggies.
And some say the persistent price promotion of junk foods is yet another hurdle in tackling obesity rates in Australia.
