Global Electronic Technology, Inc. donates $5,000.00 to Child Protection Technology Foundation (CPTF)

CYPRESS, CA - (September 17, 2008) Global Electronic Technology, Inc. (GET), a leading technology provider of payment processing solutions, today donated $5,000.00 to Child Protection Technology Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to fighting the never-ending war against child abuse and online child pornography as well as developing new software technology to aid them in their battle.

"As a transaction processor, we at Global Electronic Technology, Inc. (GET) see sites and content on the web that is inappropriate for children. When it comes to child exploitation on the web, CPTF steps in. CPTF is committed to developing technology to protect children online. I urge all companies and persons who earn money using the internet to support this outstanding organization," states Global Electronic Technology, Inc. (GET)'s Chief Executive Officer Steve Bryson.

The CPTF team is currently providing funds to an organization that runs a child pornography hotline. CPTF will expand its efforts as it continues to raise funds. You can support CPTF by contacting the organization at info@childprotechfoundation.org or by donating online at: http://childprotechfoundation.org.

"Most times it takes only one person or company to be the catalyst for a new organization. For the Child Protection Technology Foundation (CPTF) and other non-profits, Steven H. Bryson of Global Electronic Technology, Inc. (GET) is that catalyst. Steve understands the need of corporate giving and the importance of global social responsibility. I met with Steve to explain the CPTF's vision: a foundation that will help smaller organization fund their online child protection agendas and technology development, a think tank of technology gurus that looks into the future to determine what technology needs to be developed, and last but not least to donate to other non-profits that work directly with children who have been rescued from sexually abused situations. Steve understands that GET receives its revenue from electronic financial transactions from e-commerce and thus, it is his and GET's social responsibility to protect children online. According to a recent article in Journal of Association Leadership (Summer 2008/) You Go First: Learning from Corporate Lessons in Social Responsibility: 'Strategic social responsibility (SR) involves carefully aligning SR goals and practices with an organization's core competencies and mission, and it requires constant oversight and courage leadership." Steve has contributed to numerous other non-profits and even started his own Never Forgotten Foundation, an international charity program whose beneficiaries are orphaned children of war and poverty. He understands the need to give back. He understands that this does not mean less for GET or himself because in addition to helping charities, employees working for such a company feel better about their jobs. CPTF is truly grateful for his support," states Joan Irvine, volunteer for Child Protection Technology Foundation.
