Cancerous Tumors may be Reduced by CMV Treatment; The CBCD Reviews the Study

“Therapies against CMV (Cytomegalovirus) … may represent a great promise for halting tumor progression." (1)

Concerned individuals should get a CMV blood test. If positive, we recommend that they take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.

“Infected with the Cytomegalovirus (CMV)? The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD), which tested the formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR in two post-marketing clinical studies, recommends taking these natural antiviral supplements against the latent virus.” - Greg Bennett, CBCD

Research shows that the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) is linked to the cause of different types of cancer. Dr. Cecilia Soderberg-Naucler and colleagues wrote in a study that “emerging evidences also suggest that CMV is highly prevalent in patients with breast, colon, and prostate cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma, hepatocellular cancer, salivary gland tumors, neuroblastoma and brain tumors.” (1) Additionally, the authors of the study found that “over 90% of these tumors have been shown to be positive for CMV proteins and nucleic acids as determined by methods including in situ hybridisation, PCR, electron microscopy, DNA and RNA sequencing, immunostaining of tissue specimens, flow cytometry analyses of tumor cells from surgical resections and western blot analysis.” (1) In other words, the presence of CMV in many types of cancer tumors was confirmed through various types of testing. Dr. Soderberg-Naucler is from the Department of Medicine at the Center for Molecular Medicine at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden.

“Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a common virus belonging to the herpes virus family, which infects 70%-100% of the world′s population. After a primary infection that is generally mild or asymptomatic in the immunocompetent host, this virus establishes latency.” (1)

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that individuals infected with CMV take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR against the latent form of the virus.

The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the CMV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the CMV…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (2) The study authors also wrote that “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)

Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin andGene-Eden-VIR websites.

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

Scientists discovered that “CMV proteins are expressed only in tumor cells, while non-tumor cells surrounding the tumor are CMV negative (See OncoImmunology, from Aug 1, 2012) (3).” Moreover, CMV causes “DNA damage and inhibits DNA repair mechanisms, induces oncogene expression and telomerase activity, induces inflammation and at the same time avoids recognition by the immune system (3).”

“The virus is generally passed from infected people to others through direct contact with body fluids, such as urine, saliva, or breast milk. CMV is sexually transmitted. It can also be spread through transplanted organs and blood transfusions. People who are infected with CMV can shed the virus (pass the virus from their infected body fluids, such as urine, saliva, blood, and semen, into the environment). Young children often shed CMV for months after they first become infected.” (See the CDC, last updated July 28, 2010) (4).

What can individuals do if they are infected with CMV?

“Several drugs are approved for the treatment of HCMV infections in immunocompromised individuals. These drugs include ganciclovir, its oral prodrug valganciclovir, cidofovir, foscavir and fomivirsen. However, the use of these drugs in immunocompetent individuals is limited by their toxicity, poor oral bioavailability, modest efficacy, and the development of drug resistance.” (See Pharmacology & Pharmacy, from September 2013) (2). In other words, the only drugs available are normally reserved for those who have a severely compromised immune system, such as those with HIV/AIDS. There are no drugs approved for those with a mostly healthy immune system.

In contrast, there are two natural antivirals with a formula that has been shown to reduce symptoms of a CMV infection in two separate post-marketing clinical studies. Those products are Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin.

“Concerned individuals should get a CMV blood test. If positive, we recommend that they take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of these natural antivirals was designed to help the immune system target the latent virus.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD
