TiECon Detroit 2017 To Feature Mobility Competition; Applications for $50,000 Investment Opportunity

TiECon Detroit Mobility Competition 2017 Due October 8

FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN, U.S., September 1, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- TiE Detroit and Kyyba Xcelerator have partnered to bring the Mobility Competition to TiECon Detroit 2017, Michigan’s largest ongoing conference for entrepreneurs. The contest will take place from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Detroit Marriott at the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit.

Aimed at identifying the six top-level entrepreneurs and startups working on disruptive technologies in broad based industries, the Mobility Competition will center on Mobility, Autonomous Transportation, Electric Vehicle Technologies, Connectivity Technologies, IoT, Digital HealthCare, Industrial, Green Energy, Automotive, BlockChain, Fintech, Cyber Security, Smart Cities and Big Data/Machine Learning. During the contest, the six finalists will compete before an audience of automotive executives, venture capitalists, angel investors and Silicon Valley technologists. They will have a total of 10 minutes to pitch the judges and answer questions, in addition to two minutes for transition.

The winner, which will be announced at 5 p.m., will be eligible to receive $50,000 in investment and support services from Kyyba Xcelerator, as well as mentorship from the organization’s extensive network.

TiECon Detroit 2017, which is hosted by TiE Detroit, the Detroit chapter of the global non-profit organization for entrepreneurs, will take place Thursday, Nov. 9 and Friday, Nov. 10. Bringing together TiE members, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, top industry executives and thought leaders, the event provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, explore new businesses, discuss emerging technologies, share growth strategies and obtain insight from global business leaders, community leaders and worldwide experts. This year the conference will explore “The World of Digital Connectivity,” which will focus on vertical tracks such as Mobility, Health, Smart Cities, Fintech, Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence, among other horizontal tracks.

The conference also will feature “TiE20," which will showcase the most promising 20 startup companies across IOT/Sensors, Fintech, Transportation/Mobility, Healthcare and Manufacturing Devices.
