Scapa Healthcare Announces Hydrocolloid Offering for Acne Treatment

Acne Patches Provide a Protective and Absorbent Barrier to Reduce Size and Redness of Blemishes

WINDSOR, Conn., Feb. 26, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Scapa Healthcare, a global strategic outsource partner of skin friendly turn-key solutions, announces the availability of Scapa Soft-Pro® Hydrocolloid Acne Patches for the treatment of mild to moderate acne. Scapa Healthcare’s hydrocolloid acne patches absorb sebum secretion, and help reduce the blemish size and redness caused by acne in as quickly as 24 hours.

The product features a proprietary release system for easy and sanitary application. The acne patch provides a protective bacterial and viral barrier against outside contaminants, and upon removal, the adhesive helps clear pore-clogging dead skin cells.

The acne treatment consists of a film and a thin contact layer of hydrocolloid adhesive on a release liner. The product is designed with tapered edges to prevent patch roll-up. The patch is safe for daily use, offers secure fixation for multi-hour wear time, is waterproof, latex-free, breathable, discreet looking and offers UV protection.

“As a leader in ready-to-market skin adhesive solutions, we design innovative products with functionality and quality at the center of our process,” said Brian Coughlin, Scapa Healthcare’s VP of Commercial Sales. “Our goal is to deliver unique skin friendly solutions to help our customers differentiate their brand in the marketplace.”
