Original report, Monday, October 14, 2019 — The Berkeley County Coroner's Office has released the name of one of the victims involved in the Boulder Bluff subdivision shooting.

Officials say Roy Calhoun, III was pronounced dead at the scene near the 300 block of Adeline Drive.

Tyquez Turmanm says his cousin "RJ" was a bright and vibrant 18-year-old. "RJ was a very positive kid. He had a whole life ahead of him, he was really into sports and just tried to help people. He had that goofy attitude and he always tried to make other people smile."

Nathelie Bannister, who lives near Adeline Drive, says she heard the gunshots go off Sunday night:

It was like fireworks ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, boom. Like over eight rounds went off. That's when we all come running into them, and everybody from every area came running, as we hear him screaming like that. It was dark but when you turn the lights on, I saw two bodies side by side. Like, how in the world they get like that? But they were just side by side to each other.

Investigators were back on the scene Monday searching the outside of the home.

Officials have not identified other victim involved in the shooting, but say an individual has been transported to Trident Hospital with serious injuries.

This investigation is ongoing.

Turman says his family does not know the other person involved. Roy's family is urging anyone who knows anything about the shooting to come forward and contact the Goose Creek Police Department at 843-863-5200 ext. 2336, or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
