A PASTA DINNER FUNDRAISER HELD LAST NIGHT AT GEIGER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN LEWISTON TO HELP JAMAL HUSSEIN. JAMAL SUFFERED A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY THIS SUMMER WHEN HE WAS HIT BY A CAR WHILE CROSSING SABATTUS STREET. MONEY RAISED FROM TONIGHT'S DINNER WILL HELP HIS FAMILY MODIFY THERE HOME TO ACCOMMODATE A WHEEL CHAIR. HIS FATHER SAYS EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS. The Lewiston community held a pasta dinner Thursday night to help the family of a boy seriously injured in a crash.Money raised at Geiger Elementary School will help Jamal Hussein.He suffered a traumatic brain injury this summer when he was hit by a car while crossing Sabattus Street.The family plans to buy a wheelchair with the money to help them accommodate Jamal in their home.His father said Thursday every little bit helps them.Organizers said they raised more than $8,000. Jamal is being treated at a children's hospital in Massachusetts.
