President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today held phone talks with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.

The presidents touched upon the coronavirus situation, exchanged information about the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and the actions aimed at overcoming the consequences of the virus and talked about the solutions that will help the countries get out of the situation.

Vucic emphasized that Serbia is willing to support Armenia in case of need, and President Sarkissian expressed gratitude to his Serbian counterpart, stating that he will transmit relevant information to the Serbian side after specifying information with the Ministry of Health of Armenia.

The presidents also touched upon the actions targeted at the development of bilateral relations and the agreements reached during Sarkissian’s official visit to Serbia last year, including the opening of the Embassy of Serbia in Armenia which was scheduled for this spring and was rescheduled due to the pandemic.

Sarkissian and Vucic reaffirmed the fact that all the agreements for development of relations will be implemented, and, once again, emphasized the great potential for cooperation, particularly in the fields of information technologies, food safety and agriculture.
