Drug investigation results in arrests; stolen property recovered in rural Longville

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch said the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation into the sales and use of drugs, specifically methamphetamine.

A 48-year-old Longville man and a 42-year-old Walker woman were arrested Friday, May 28, in Longville for possessing and selling drugs and possessing stolen property, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported.

In a news release, Sheriff Tom Burch said that as part of an ongoing investigation into the sales and use of drugs, specifically methamphetamine, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at a residence in Kego Township, rural Longville . A large amount of suspected liquid methamphetamine, suspected crystal methamphetamine and suspected marijuana was seized.

In addition, several items of stolen property, including a firearm, were located and seized.

Both suspects were arrested at the residence. Formal criminal charges relating to drug sales and drug possession, along with possession of stolen property, are pending on both.
