For the past 100 years, the United Way of Southeast Minnesota has been a driving force for positive change, improving the lives of individuals and families across the region.

Founded in 1925, United Way began with a simple mission: to bring people together to address the most pressing needs in our communities. Over the decades, that mission has grown into a powerful movement of collective action and impact.

Through strategic partnerships, innovative programs, and the community's unwavering support, the United Way has tackled issues ranging from education and financial stability to health and basic needs.

The organization has connected people with vital resources, supported local nonprofits, and ensured no one in the community is left behind.
In the past century, the United Way has led groundbreaking initiatives that have shaped the future of Southeast Minnesota.

From early childhood education programs to food security initiatives and mental health support, the organization has consistently adapted to meet the community's evolving needs. The recent launch of the 21-Day Equity Challenge is a testament to United Way’s commitment to fostering understanding and inclusion.

A key part of United Way’s success lies in mobilizing volunteers, donors, and corporate partners to create lasting change. Partnerships with organizations like the Mayo Clinic and local businesses have strengthened the reach and impact of United Way’s programs. The annual fundraising campaigns and community events have generated vital resources and built a sense of collective responsibility and shared purpose.

As the United Way of Southeast Minnesota celebrates this historic milestone, it reflects on a legacy of resilience, compassion, and progress. The next chapter will build on this foundation—empowering individuals, strengthening families, and transforming communities for future generations.

100 years of impact. 100 years of united action. The best is yet to come.
