CORVALLIS, Ore. – A 46-year-old Nevada woman was arrested on Friday for allegedly driving impaired following a multivehicle crash in Corvallis, according to the Corvallis Police Department.
CPD officials said that the intersection of Highway 99 West and Northeast Circle Boulevard was closed for several hours on the afternoon of March 14 following multi-vehicle collision. Police officers that responded to the scene determined that the driver of a silver Honda CRV, identified as Las Vegas, Nevada, resident Misty Summers, had reportedly run a red light and crashed into three other vehicles, authorities said. Corvallis police said that medics evaluated all occupants of involved vehicles but no major injuries were reported. Several witnesses reported seeing Summers driving at a high speed and swerving in her lane of travel before the crash happened, police said. CPD officials said that Summers showed signs of impairment when contacted by officers and was arrested after submitting to standard field sobriety tests.
Summers faces charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and three counts of recklessly endangering another person, police officials said.
