MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Shelby Mitchell with 95 KSJ and iHeart Media joined us on Studio 10 with a look at what’s happening this weekend!

RUBBER DUCKY REGATTA for RONALD McDONALD HOUSE - Sat 11am-6pm, OWA Parks & Resort, Foley. Adopt a duck and watch it race down Lake OWA for a chance to win amazing prizes and to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile. Plus fun activities throughout the day– free face painting, train rides, DJ Patrick at the Island Stage, and a Children’s Bounce City. New this year is the Jeep show and decorating contest. The theme for the Jeep decorating contest is “Superheroes” in recognition of the heroic strength displayed by hospitalized children and their families.

DOWNTOWN CAJUN COOK-OFF - Sat 10am-2pm, Cathedral Square, Downtown Mobile. Restaurants as well as amateur teams will be serving samples of their best Cajun recipes. There will also be live music, with Phil & Foster and The Redfield. Proceeds benefit the Child Advocacy Center.

CRAWFISH FOR THE CLASSROOM - Sat 4pm, Daphne City Hall. Festivities include Crawfish from MudBug Mafia, live music from 80’s and 90’s cover band DISCO KISS, children’s activities and local brews from Fairhope Brewing Company! All proceeds go to the 2025 SEEDS Classroom Grant Program for Daphne schools.

KREWE OF KINDNESS BALL - Sat 6pm-9pm, Battle House Hotel, Downtown Mobile. The theme of the 6th Annual Krewe of Kindness ball is “Rolling Down the Bayou.” Krewe of Kindness is a family based non-profit that supports a mission of helping to provide adaptive recreation, education and inclusion for families with loved ones with disabilities. The ball provides a night of authentic Mardi Gras fun right here in Mobile, so that the whole family can attend.

AZALEA TRAIL RUN - Sat 6am (registration); 7:55am (wheelchair); 8am (10K); 8:20am (5K); 9:30am (2K Fun Run), Government St, Downtown Mobile. For 47 years, the annual Azalea Trail Run has served as one of the first signs of spring in the Mobile community. This year, the race has been selected as the RRCA 10K State Championship race. Enjoy a flat course beneath beautiful oak canopies.

MOBILE KIDNEY WALK - Sat 8am (registration); 9am (walk), UMS-Wright Preparatory School’s Ervin S. Cooper Stadium, Mobile. The Mobile Kidney Walk & Celebration is the Alabama Kidney Foundation’s premier fundraising event. Proceeds assist South Alabama’s kidney patients in need through the Foundation’s Financial Assistance Program, helping them with medications, transportation to dialysis, and bills.

AXLES FOR ALZHEIMER’S OPEN CAR SHOW - Sat 8am-3pm, Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, Pensacola. Open to ALL makes, models, and years. If it has wheels it qualifies. Family Friendly event with games and more. Proceeds benefit Alzheimer’s Association and Gulf Coast Kid’s House.

THE WHARF BOAT & YACHT SHOW - Fri/Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-4pm, The Wharf Marina, Orange Beach. Featuring over $100 million in boats and marine products, and more than 120 exhibiting companies, it’s the “Top Boat Buying Show” in the northern Gulf. Take in a display of 120 wet slip boats and yachts, 700+ center and dual console boats on land, live music, tons of exhibitors to explore, instructional seminars + so much more!

DAUPHIN ISLAND NATIVE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE - Sat 9am-5pm, Historic Fort Gaines, Dauphin Island, Experience a family-friendly day filled with Native American history, traditions, and culture. Join tribal members of the Poarch Creek Indians, Florida Seminole Tribe, and more as they share their heritage through interactive demonstrations. Try your hand at stickball and pottery making and experience Native American dancing, drumming, canoe carving, beadwork, and more!

TIANA’S ENCHANTED JAMBOREE with MOBILE BALLET - Sun 2pm-4pm, Bishop State Community College, Broad St, Mobile. Meet and take photos with beloved characters from Mobile Ballet’s Princess and the Frog production, including Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen… plus a short performance excerpt from the show! Fun crafts & activities for the kids, and tasty treats. Costumes welcome!

SPRING MUSIC AT MEYER PARK CONCERT SERIES: Cristi Dee BAD JUJU - Thurs 5:30pm, Meyer Park, Gulf Shores. Kick off Spring with this free concert series, with great live music, food trucks and more.

MOBILE OPERA: TROUBLE IN TAHITI & THE GHOSTS OF GATSBY - Fri 7:30pm and Sun 2:30pm, The Temple Downtown, Mobile. Mobile Opera will bring Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti” and Mack and McGuire’s “The Ghosts of Gatsby” to life on stage. A great cast and two dramatic stories guarantee a performance you won’t forget.

BROADWAY IN PENSACOLA: HADESTOWN - Wed/Thurs 7:30pm, Pensacola Saenger Theatre. HADESTOWN intertwines two mythic tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards® including Best Musical.

US NAVY BAND IN CONCERT: NATIONAL TOUR - Fri 7:30pm, Pensacola Saenger Theatre. To celebrate 100 years of service to America, the United States Navy Concert Band, Sea Chanters chorus and Cruisers popular music group join forces for a series of performances. All concerts are family-friendly events, meant to connect community members across the country with their Navy.

BACK-N-BLACK: THE ULTIMATE AC/DC EXPERIENCE - Sat 8pm, Pensacola Saenger Theatre.

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS - Thurs/Fri/Sat 7:30pm; Sun 2:30pm (Mar 13th-23rd), Chickasaw Civic Theatre. This classic Agatha Christie tale features beloved detective Hercule Poirot on a murderous train trip across Europe.

OPEN MIC NIGHT with POWERLINES POETS - Thurs 6:30pm, Mobile Museum of Art, Langan Park. PowerLines Poets, a Mobile-based poetry troupe featuring local writers and performers is returning to the Mobile Museum of Art for a slam poetry evening. PowerLines Poets will perform original work and also invite the audience to perform their own poetry in an open mic session.​

PENSACOLA ICE FLYERS HOCKEY - Fri/Sat 7:05pm, Sun 4:05pm, Pensacola Bay Center. One more night of cute chaos on the ice for the last Small Dog Race Night of the season on Friday! Fans can register your pups to race now at: icefly.co/Race-Registration Only approved contestants will be allowed to bring their dogs inside of the arena. Saturday is Military Appreciation Night and Sunday is Spongebob Night.
