Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF) is thrilled to announce the winner of this year’s highly anticipated Annual Golf Cart Opportunity Drawing, sponsored by Mullins Orthodontics. This cherished tradition is a part of the Day of Giving (formally the Telethon). Hundreds of tickets were sold throughout the month, with one lucky winner taking home the grand prize—a 2025 Evolution Lifted 4-seater Golf Cart generously provided by Coastal Carts San Diego.
Through a sea of hopeful entries, Linnea Rodman was named the 2025 Golf Cart Winner after Dr. Mullins handpicked her name. Linnea and her husband Jim, originally from the East Coast, moved to Coronado while their youngest daughter attended Coronado High School, class of 2014. Even years after graduation, the Rodman family continues to support CSF and its mission to fund vital programs in Coronado’s public schools. This year, their commitment to the community came with an exciting prize in return.
Also pictured in the celebration is Mark Babenko, owner of Coastal Carts RMV, which operates locations throughout California and now serves Coronado from its San Diego location—just seven minutes from the island.
“We were proud to not only give back to the Coronado community but also witness firsthand the joy that Coronado Schools Foundation provides for its students,” said Babenko. “Our team at Coastal Carts looks forward to sponsoring this opportunity for years to come.”
CSF extends a heartfelt thank you to all who participated in this year’s drawing, helping to make the Day of Giving a resounding success. The funds raised will continue to support STEM & Arts programs that enrich the educational experience of students in Coronado’s public schools.
