“The world’s most dangerous man” is how Trump’s niece Mary Trump described her uncle in her first book, “Too Much and Never Enough.” Donald Trump is a metastasizing cancer spreading evil throughout this country and the world. He is a textbook example of a sociopath. To save you the trouble of looking it up, here is the definition of this personality disorder: “A mental health condition in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights of others.” Sound familiar?

Trump is cheering on dictators in the countries of Serbia, Hungary, Romania and Georgia. At the same time, the citizens of those countries are rallying against their authoritarian leaders to establish democratic governments like ours used to be. Meanwhile, Trump and his bestie Putin talk on the phone to decide Ukraine’s fate.

The Trump team is determined to remake our country into an autocracy that benefits the rich and robs the rest of us. Their goal is to break Social Security and do away with Medicare and Medicaid. Trump and his henchmen are actively stamping out every last vestige of our democracy. The only thing standing in the way of their goal is the judiciary branch of our government, because the MAGA senators and representatives in the legislative branch have already given away their power to the executive triumvirate of Trump/Musk/Vance.

Voters in Iowa’s first congressional district had a chance to elect Christina Bohannan, a candidate with integrity. Instead, they foolishly returned Mariannette Miller-Meeks to congress. Her first name is ironically appropriate because Donald Trump is “pulling her strings.”

A recent letter to the “Daily Gate City” asked the question, “Where is Mary Miller hiding?” Could it be that she’s afraid to come out and face her constituents because she has consistently supported Trump against their interests? On the same page was another letter, entitled “Voters get what they deserve.” That’s true for everyone who voted for Trump. Unfortunately, the rest of us also have to suffer the same consequences.
