Junction Family Pharmacy holds ribbon cutting ceremony
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The Junction community now has a new place to get prescriptions and learn more about healthy habits.
The Junction Family Pharmacy, located at the corner of Dorr and N. Detroit, held its ribbon cutting ceremony on March 21.
Its owner, Anthony Pattin, is a University of Toledo graduate who is bringing 15 years of experience to the neighborhood. He’s worked in diverse communities from Michigan to New York, but he saw a need back here at home.
“Important access to their medications, to health, they have access to me and my colleagues and we provide information to them and help them stay healthy,” said Pattin.
With a shortage of pharmacies and fewer students going to school for it, Pattin is hoping to bridge the gap.
“I am here to serve my community, I’m really grateful,” said Pattin.
At the ribbon cutting, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur presented Pattin with a flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol. He also received a proclamation from Toledo City Council.
