Varanasi: The Department of General Surgery, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, in collaboration with the Department of Surgical Oncology, Mahamana Pandit Madanmohan Malaviya Cancer Centre, and the Varanasi City Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India, under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Chapter of ASI, organised a one-day CME (Continuing Medical Education) on ‘Advances in Breast Cancer Management: An Instructional Course' on Sunday.
The academic event was attended by medical experts and scholars from across the nation.
The conference aimed to provide an in-depth discussion on the latest developments in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment strategies, and surgical innovations. The scientific programme comprehensively covered aspects like epidemiology, screening techniques, modern surgical procedures, targeted therapies, and patient rehabilitation.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. S.N. Sankwar, director, IMS BHU, in the presence of Dr. Satyajit Pradhan, director, MPMMCC, and Dr. Shampa Anupurba, dean, Faculty of Medicine, IMS BHU.
