CHARLOTTESVILLE (CVILLE RIGHT NOW/UVA HEALTH) – UVA Health has named a seasoned hospital leader as its inaugural chief for UVA Health Children’s who will oversee all operations and team members there. Cindy Bo’s first day of work is the last day of March next Monday as she comes here after being chief strategy officer at Boston Medical Center Health System, and her passion for pediatrics began even before that as the inaugural chief strategy officer at Nemours Children’s Health in Delaware.

As UVA Health Children’s first chief, Bo will be looking to grow care programs; attract the best talent whether its providers or advocates; and expanding access to any child who needs care not only across the region, but even beyond. She says they will be building partnerships to expand the footprint of quality care to those who need it.
