WARREN — To serve growing needs in the region, Deerfield Behavioral Health of Warren welcomed psychiatric medical providers Dr. Joshua Halbauer, Dr. Vikram Panwar, Dr. Joseph Sivak and Abby Wenzel, certified registered nurse practitioner.
Deerfield Behavioral Health treats individuals across northwestern and central Pennsylvania.

Thurston.
Halbauer brings more than 26 years of experience as a psychiatrist. He graduated in 1999 from the University of Pécs located in Hungary, followed by a residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. Halbauer completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Southern California and Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry and a research fellowship regarding traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s disease at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California.
Panwar holds a Master of Public Health degree from University of Alabama in Birmingham. He completed his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College – University of Delhi in India, followed by the completion of a general psychiatry residency at the University of Kansas in Kansas City in 2019. Panwar also served as chief resident at the University of Kansas in 2018 and 2019.
Sivak, a board-certified psychiatrist, graduated from medical school in 1988 from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and has more than 37 years of experience. He completed residencies in internal medicine and family practice at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland and St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, respectively. Sivak also did a residency in psychiatry at University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. His specialties include neurology, psychiatry and addiction medicine.
Abby Wenzel, is an adult psychiatric nurse practitioner who graduated in 2007 from the University of Pittsburgh. She has more than 17 years of experience, mostly working in outpatient psychiatry. Wenzel works with clients ages 14 and older, and mostly enjoys a collaborative, holistic approach with clients wanting to work through psychosocial, medical and lifestyle improvements to optimize their health, specifically their mental health.
Deerfield, an affiliate of Journey Health System (JHS), has offices in Bradford, Erie, Marienville, Tionesta and Warren.
