The Oregon attorney general is urging Oregonians to check if they’re eligible for settlement claims after the state accused two generic drugmakers of conspiring to artificially inflate drug prices and limit competition.
Apotex and Heritage Pharmaceuticals agreed to pay nearly $50 million to settle lawsuits brought by Oregon and 49 other states alleging the drug manufacturers of participating in a price-fixing scheme. Apotex said it will pay $39.1 million, while Heritage — now called Avet Pharmaceuticals — says it will pay $10 million.
Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said consumers who purchased certain drugs between May 2009 and December 2019 may be eligible for compensation.
