The former The Only Way Is Essex star showcased her slimmer figure on Instagram, pledging to drop from a size 20 to a size 16 by the end of summer, the Mirror reports.

She proclaimed: "I will finally be free. I will finally be able to live my best life and just be free from all that upset and stress and turmoil that comes with constantly trying to lose excess weight."

Looking confident in fitted black leggings and a matching top, Gemma declared she "felt like a million dollars" and was "back and ready for action". She also revealed she wears compression garments that "make you feel super snatched".

Having tried numerous diets throughout her life, Gemma opted for weight loss medication to fulfil her dream of becoming a mother. She aims to get pregnant next year, having reportedly lost around three stone between 2019 and 2024.

Her weight loss journey is also motivated by her desire to start a family with fiancé Rami Hawash. A source has spoken to OK! magazine about Gemma's fresh approach towards weight loss, highlighting her past challenges with diets: "Gemma's tried almost every diet going and nothing has ever really worked for her, but she's always said she wants to be healthy.

"She isn't just focused on how she looks. This is about her wanting to be as healthy as possible and feel confident."

Gemma has bravely shared her experiences with extreme weight loss methods, including undergoing a gastric balloon procedure that led to such severe illness she felt her life was at risk.

Recalling the harrowing experience, she said: "It was scary. I should never have done it... I thought I was going to die. I could not get out of bed. The pain in my stomach... because it was like a foreign body in my belly."

Despite previously enduring a month exclusively on juices at a retreat and trying a fibre-only diet, which saw her drop 20lbs in a week, it is Gemma's latest venture with NHS-approved injections that she feels is truly making a difference.

Speaking to The Sun, the reality star expressed her amazement at the efficacy of the treatment: "'I can't believe I've finally found something that works. I've lost nearly two stone already and it's been completely effortless - I don't even want to eat anymore! I got on the scales and lost something like 6kg in my first week. I bet my house by May, I'll have six stone off."

She quipped that she might "be looking like a Victoria's Secret model" soon and shared: "This has been life-changing for me... I feel healthier, I feel happier. I'm really looking forward to this year. I may finally be able to wear a bikini again."

Gemma went on to say: "I can't tell you how good I feel right now. I feel like a massive weight's been lifted off my shoulders. This is for anyone who knows the struggle is real. Only if you're overweight do you know the struggle, you know the downfalls, you know what you go through."
