Recall issued on Tostitos tortilla chips sold in Ohio, Kentucky, 13 states. See the list

Frito-Lay has issued a recall on its Tostitos-brand tortilla chips sold in Ohio, Kentucky and 11 other states over concerns that they may contain an undeclared allergen, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Here's what to look for.

Frito-Lay has recalled some of its 13 oz. bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips on March 26, 2025.

Frito-Lay issues voluntary recall for Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips

The bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips could include nacho cheese tortilla chips, and therefore may contain undeclared milk, per the FDA. Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product.

Less than 1,300 bags are affected by the recall. Here are the details:

  • Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips
    • Size: 13 oz.
    • UPC: 2840052848
    • Date and manufacturing code. Must have both:
      • The "Guaranteed Fresh" date of 20 MAY 2025
      • One of the following manufacturing codes, where "XX" is any number from 30 to 55:
        • 471106504 18 13:XX
        • 471106505 85 13:XX
        • 471106506 85 13:XX
        • 471106507 85 13:XX

The tortilla chips were sold in 13 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Consumers would have been able to purchase these chips as early as March 7, 2025.

No allergic reactions related to this matter have been reported to date. No other Tostitos products, flavors, sizes or variety packs are recalled.

What to do if you have the recalled corn chips

If consumers have an allergy or sensitivity to milk, they should not consume the product and discard it immediately.
