Natalie Portman asks 'are you in trouble' in Liverpool update
The Oscar winning star "can't wait" as she she shared an update alongside John Krasinski on the film they shot in Merseyside last year
Natalie Portman said she "can't wait" as she shared an update on the film she shot in Liverpool last year. The Oscar winning star was spotted filming a new movie alongside John Krasinski on Merseyside last year.
The project, directed by Guy Ritchie, was shrouded in mystery at the time as details of the plot were kept under wraps. However, it has since been revealed the movie is called Fountain Of Youth and it has been billed as a "modern day Indiana Jones".
Black Swan star Natalie has shared an exciting update on the film as she revealed it will be released on Apple TV+ on May 23. The 43-year-old shared the news alongside a new trailer, which opened on the scenes filmed in Liverpool's St George's Quarter as the Walker Art Gallery is immediately visible.
She captioned the post: "Are you in trouble? @johnkrasinski I can’t wait for you to join us on this mythological adventure. Fountain of Youth premieres May 23 on Apple TV."
Her co-star, John, has also taken to Instagram as the Office US said he's realised a childhood dream to work alongside the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels director.
He said: "From the day I got started in this biz, I always held out hope that I would one day get to be in a Guy Ritchie movie. Welp!… dreams really do come true! #FountainOfYouth coming to Apple TV+ on May 23."
People took to the comments after the A Quiet Place director's post to share their excitement after the update. Marianne said: "SO SO SO EXCITED. I cant wait to see this multiple times." Leo commented: "I’M GONNA BE THERE ON THE FIRST DAY!!!!"
Matt posted: "Liverpool making a proud appearance". ECHO photographer Iain Watts captured incredible snaps as shooting commenced in Liverpool last year.
Nathan Schofield was making his way home from Crewe after a day away on work training when he spotted Natalie and John filming a scene in a modified sports car.
He shared his footage with the ECHO as he said: "I was making my way home and I got stopped by a security guard outside a big Warner Bros truck. I asked him why I couldn't go through and he just said they were filming an action scene for a film.
"So I just stuck around because I've always loved films and I wanted to be an actor when I was younger." However, Nathan was amazed when filming commenced and he spotted Natalie and John were involved.
He added: "I don't know if I was supposed to say something because they were really close. Natalie Portman looked a bit awkward and I felt a bit awkward not realising how close they would come over.
"I gave John a little wave and he waved back and my mum was made up with that because she loves The Office. I was waiting for around 20 minutes. They did two takes and they were there for about 25 minutes. They said end of scene and then everyone left all of a sudden."
