Senator Tuberville addresses Alabama Republican Party

April 3, 2025 – BIRMINGHAM, AL - Donald Trump Jr. spoke to the Alabama Republican Party Thursday night in Birmingham; but all eyes were on U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama) who introduced Don Jr. from a videotaped message played before Trump spoke to the 500 excited Alabama Republicans at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center.

"Yesterday was Liberation Day and the liberals and rhino Republicans are in panic mode," said Senator Tuberville after President Trump hit 180 countries across the globe with tariffs on their imports.

"Both Vietnam and India have been ripping off American farmers by dumping catfish and shrimp in our market," said Tuberville. "Tariffs are just part of the solution, we are also working on bringing tax cuts."

Tuberville also praised the work of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in identifying the waste, fraud, and abuse in federal agencies.

"We are also working on reducing the out-of-control government spending," said Tuberville. "I have become good friends with Elon Musk. He is exactly what this country needed and we need to thank him for it."

"Social Security is a scam," Tuberville warned. "Millions of Americans will not receive a penny/"

Tuberville said that the DOGE was working to uncover waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government.

"Most of that is in Medicare and Medicaid," Tuberville said. They have uncovered, "$141 billion in improper payments "

"Blue States like California they were giving Medicaid to illegal aliens," said Sen. Tuberville. "We don't need to cut Medicaid and Medicare but we need to fix it."

Tuberville said that the Trump administration under Krisit Noem's leadership has shut illegal border crossings down and he is working to deport the illegal aliens even though the liberal judges are trying to pass orders to prevent the President from carrying out his deportations.

"They love their illegals," Tuberville said.

"President Trump is getting rid of woke DEI (diversity equity and inclusion training/policies) in our government," continued Tuberville. "They are moving to defund Planned Parenthood" and get DEI out of the military so, "Our military is once again focused on lethality." As a result, "Our military recruitment numbers are skyrocketing."

Transgender women are basically a man or boy who through some sort of mental illness or deviate sexual lifestyle wants to dress up like girls or women. Some of them even go so far as to take hormones and/or puberty blockers and have invasive mutilation surgeries to perpetuate this delusion. Oftentimes these men/boys will compete in women's sports against actual women/girls.

President Trump has signed an executive order, "Fighting to keep men out of women's sports."

Sen. Tuberville has introduced legislation that would codify this in U.S. law to protect women and girls' sports.

"We had a vote on that a few weeks ago and not one single Democrat voted to protect women," Tuberville said.

Tuberville praised the headline speaker – Donald Trump Jr.

"Don Jr. is largely credited with President Trump's highly successful media strategy in the last campaign," Tuberville said.

Tuberville is extremely popular in Alabama – particularly in Republican circles - and is expected to easily win re-election if he runs for another term in the Senate; however the former Auburn football coach is openly considering a run for Governor.

"I have talked about it with my family, and we are praying about it," Sen. Tuberville told Alabama reporters recently when asked if he was running for Governor.

Incumbent Governor Kay Ivey (R) is term limited so cannot run for a third consecutive term in the state's highest office. Tuberville's chief rival for that office is Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth (R). Ainsworth led the prayer during Thursday night's event. There is presently no declared candidate for Governor. Ainsworth will almost certainly declare for Governor, if Tuberville does not. Answorth is term limited so cannot run for a third consecutive term as Lt Governor. He may run for governor even if Tuberville declares setting up for a political heavyweight contest for the Republican primary on May 26, 2026.
