Glaucoma patient summit on March 29

Chennai: Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital will host a glaucoma patient summit to raise awareness and encourage timely medical attention for glaucoma on March 29.
Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can cause vision loss and blindness by damaging a nerve in the back of the eyes called the optic nerve. “We are conducting this summit so no patient has to fight glaucoma alone.The event will bring together individuals living with glaucoma to empower each other through knowledge, connection, and shared experiences,” chief of clinical services Dr Ashvin Agarwal.
For all in-person participants, basic glaucoma eye checkup will be conducted free of cost.
The tests will include: NCT and Fundus picture screening.
The summit will also have interactive sessions. The participation fee is 99 per person. Participants who upload their prescription during registration will receive a waiver of the registration charge upon successful verification.
